Football Reach app

Football Reach app help

The Football Reach app is a training log for grassroots football players, their parents and guardians, and their coaches. It is made by APPS 365 LTD.

Need us? Email hello@footballreach.com. We reply within two working days. If a child is in danger now, call 999. Children can call Childline free on 0800 1111.

Signing in

Who can have an account? Parents and guardians aged 18 or over, coaches aged 18 or over, and players aged 16 or over. A younger player never has an email address or password with us: a parent adds them, and the player uses the app in player mode on the parent's phone, or on their own phone or tablet paired with a code.

How do I sign in? With a 6-digit code we email you, with Sign in with Apple, or with Google. Use the same email on footballreach.com to see the same players at footballreach.com/me.

The sign-in code has not arrived. Check your spam folder, wait a minute, then ask for a new code. A code works for 10 minutes. If you chose Hide My Email with Sign in with Apple, the code goes to your Apple relay address, which forwards it to your inbox.

Why does it ask my year of birth? To check you are old enough for the account you chose. If you are too young, nothing is kept, and we ask you to get your parent or guardian to set up Football Reach.

Players, player mode and devices

How do I add a player? In the Family tab choose Add a player, then give a nickname, a birth month and year, and a kit colour. Please use a nickname, not a full name. A family can have up to 4 players.

What is player mode? In the Family tab tap "Pass the phone to" your player, then Start player mode. Your child sees their session, drills and progress; family settings and anything about money are hidden. To leave, tap Parent at the top. Leaving player mode needs Face ID, a fingerprint, your phone's passcode or your parent PIN.

What is the parent PIN? A 4-digit PIN that only you know, for phones with no Face ID, fingerprint or passcode. Set it in the Family tab, under Parent PIN. Runs and repeats such as 1234 or 1111 are not allowed.

How do I put the app on my child's own phone or tablet? In your app open the Family tab and tap "Pair a player's own phone". On your child's device, open Football Reach, tap "This is my own phone", then scan the code or type the six numbers. A code works once, for 10 minutes. A paired device shows only that player, never shows a price and never changes family settings.

A phone was lost. How do I sign it out? In your app open the Family tab, then Phones and tablets, and sign that device out. Its data is wiped the next time it connects. If you cannot get into the app, email us and we will do it for you.

Saving and syncing

Does the app work with no signal? Yes. Everything is saved on the phone first and sent to us when there is a connection. Each record shows "saved on phone" or "synced".

Will I lose anything if I sign out? The app warns you when something has not synced yet. Connect to the internet, wait until everything says synced, then sign out.

Notifications and the weekly report

Will the app nag my child? No. Notifications are off until you turn them on, at most one a day, never between 21:00 and 07:00, and for players under 16 never in school hours on weekdays. There are never reminders about streaks or about other players, and a notification never names your child.

What is the weekly report? A calm summary of each player's week, made on Sunday evening: sessions, minutes, praise and next week's plan. For a player under 13 you see the full report; from 13 your copy is a summary unless the player shares the detail. Choose push, email or both in the Family tab, under Notifications.

Squads and praise

How does my child join a squad? The coach gives you a code. Enter it in the app, read the Staying safe card with your child, and approve. A player aged 13 to 15 also accepts the invite themselves. Nothing from the coach reaches your child until the club's welfare officer has confirmed the coach (or the coach runs a provider listing we have checked for safeguarding) and the squad has players from at least 3 families.

Can people message my child? No. There are no messages, no free text between users, no search and no public profiles. Praise, reactions and coach announcements come from fixed lists. Read the community rules.

How do I report a concern? Use Report a concern on any squad screen or in Help, or email us. A person looks at every report within 24 hours, and the person reported is never told who reported them. Our child safety standards explain what we do.

Privacy and your data

The app has no adverts, no messages between users, no location and no video recording. Read the privacy notice, with a part written for each age group of players.

Can I get a copy of our data? Yes. In the Family tab choose Export my data. It is free, at any time.

Can I stop the app collecting usage data? Yes. We only collect a few usage events from adults, never from a child's view, and you can turn them off in the app; turning them off also deletes what we kept.

Paying and cancelling

Plus covers the whole family. Bought in the app, it is billed by the App Store or Google Play: cancel it in your phone's subscription settings. Bought on the website, manage it at footballreach.com/me. Players under 16 without their own account never see a price. The terms of use explain renewals, cancelling and refunds.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with anything, tell us through Help in the app, at footballreach.com/complaints or by email. We acknowledge every complaint straight away and aim to reply in full within 30 days.

Deleting your account

In the Family tab choose Delete my account, or delete one player from that player's settings. Everything is removed from every phone straight away and deleted for good 30 days later. Deleting does not cancel a subscription bought in the App Store or Google Play: cancel it there too. You can also ask us to delete it.
